cardztv anything goes challenge #2

happy friday! it's time again for another anything goes challenge at cardztv. if you havent yet, be sure to check out the awesome projects the rest of the design team have created . be sure to play along with us as you'll have a chance to win a set of mary's awesome stamps!
here's my project. i love to create little scenes using buttons, moss, findings..whatevers in my craft stash.

isn't that little deer the cutest :)

for the tree i used a craft pick. then added the button owl with hot glue.

the gnome, bunny. leaves and corn are all buttons too. i made the mushrooms out of unfinished wood that i colored with bic markits and acrylic paint for the white dots. the tree stumps are from hobby lobby. they come cut and prepackaged.

of course i had to add one of my favorite critters.. a squirrel :) i was thrilled when i saw this was in the assorted button pack :)

i used a cardztv stamp from the frankly frightful set. i stamped the saying on a piece of wood and inked the edges a bit. then added a pumpkin button.

sweet scarecrow button. i added some frou frou behind him. i used a paper flower that i adhered to a wood flower pick. i found a pack of green picks in the floral section of hobby lobby. i also hot glued one on the back side of the scarecrow then hot glued that onto the moss. i didnt get a good pic of the sign under the hello pumpkin sign, it came in the button pack and says pumpkin patch.

button bunny and a little wooden ladybug.

heres just a top view of it all. i forgot to mention earlier, for the base i took a piece of unfinished wood , found in the unfinished wood section at hobby lobby. ..i covered that in moss, it comes in a sheet with sticky backing so all i have to do is cut to size , peel off the back paper and press it onto the wood. i love this stuff for this type of project :) i hope ive inspired you and shown you dont need to sew to use buttons :)

this is the stamp set i used . you can purchase that plus many others AND some fabulous precolored die cuts right ~>here<~

thank you so much for visiting my blog and your sweet comments always make me smile. thank you for that too :)  happy crafting and have a great rest of day/night.

i added a little bit of frou frou to the jar and added a tag using a stamp from the "simple thoughts" set.
you can purchase this awesome  stamp set plus others ~>here<~

i don't have a printer set up so i had to hand scribble the name of the scrub onto a paer doily i attached to the lid.

for my project i crocheted a balloon that i attached to a birthday gift.
to make the tag i used distress stains. you just lightly smack the bottle down onto your tag or paper. let it dry.i used a heat gun because im a tad impatient ;) . then i added googly eyes and tiny tiny pompoms for the noses.

i used the perfect sentiment from the "simple thoughts" stamp set

here's the gift that was inside the box. i made it for my daughters 34th birthday.
i found the gremlin and ladybugs plus the little wood stump  and mushrooms at hobby lobby. i glued everything onto a rectangle piece of wood. i made the mushrooms out of unfinished wood furniture buttons colored with my bic mark its and dotted with white acrylic paint. i made some flowers out of  styrofoam shavings  ( cheap version of "flowersoft") colored with alcohol ink but i forgot to take a picture after i added them.

thanks so much for joining in our fun! happy crafting and have a great rest of day! shelly

cardztv gallery

happy thursday! it's my turn again at cardztv to showcase the project of the day. be sure to checkout the gallery plus the rest of cardztv for the best cards,   3d projects, home decor etc. a ton of inspiration from my very talented and sweet design team sisters and of course mary!
i crocheted a cute egg cover for easter.  i found the pattern on pinterest. a super simple pattern you can  download free  from the lion yarn company. you can put this over a regular egg but i opted for the plastic eggs. i'm going to give one to each of my brownies (girl scouts) and inside i'm going to tuck in a sentiment from the easter punnies set.

the egg fits right inside the bunny's body.
a side view  so you can see i added a pom pom tail. after the pics were taken i realized i forgot a mouth so afterwards i just did a straight stitch under bunnys pom pom nose. you can just do a quick stitching with thread i like the way i did it what you prefer.  i also added whiskers (thread) to mine and safety eyes.
here's one of the sentiments i've enclosed. each egg will have a different cute saying inside.

using this fun  and cute stamp set which you can purchase ~>here<~

well i'm off to finish  the rest of my bunnys :) thanks for visiting me, your kind words make me smile :) xxxshelly

cardztv gallery

happy monday. i'll be honest, not for me. on the 22nd of january the cutest boy in the world, my shweetheart browneyed boy of 19 years, geddy crossed the rainbow bridge. i am utterly heartbroken. i will miss him forever and a day. olivia is also missing him. its so sad to see her looking around for him. she lays on the back of the couch where she has a  view of the front door at all times, waiting for him to come back. all my kitties are strictly indoor kitties but the last she saw of him i was walking out the door with him. she relied on him so much. he always comforted her when she was afraid.  :(  anyway....
today is my turn to showcase a project over at cardsztv gallery. i made an envelope. oh wow right? lol  i'm new to crocheting so this is not perfect by any means but i still think its cute. i found the pattern/idea on pinterest.
i used a stamp from the new set "love ya"
this is another awesome set of stamps. you can easily purchase this set plus others by clicking ~>here<~

i added a felt heart i cut with my cuttlebug and a button. just kept it super simple.

thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my stuff :) have a crafty day or night! and if you have a pet, be sure to give them extra pets and kisses and tell them how lucky you are to have them xxxshelly

cardztv designer gallery.

happy monday! its my turn to showcase a project for cardztv designers gallery again. i made a cute lil snowman scene using marys cardztv stamps and a few other little supplies.

i made the snowman using 2 styrofoam balls. i covered them in modpodge then rolled them in chunky glitter. i used a crafters toothpick to join them. i added an orange toothpick for the nose. googly eyes and used pearls for his mouth. i glued it and the terra cotta planter /snowball holder to a 4 inch coaster then added some decoart snow tex and moss. for the topiary  i used a plain moss ball and added bendable twigs , berry picks and snowtex. i stuck a dowel that i painted brown into it added moss and sto tex around the planter. and attached the same ribbon used on the snowman.

for the hat i cut an old sock. i cut it then cut one end into frays and tied with a ribbon, cute eh ;)
i painted a little terra cotta planter then used  little glittered styrofoam balls i found them at hobby  lobby in the christmas section.

i stamped some snowflakes onto round unfinished wood pieces using naughty or nice set. i inked them up and added tim holtz rock candy distress stickles to them. glued to a craft stick.

i used a stamp from naughty or nice  set again.
this may look a little time consuming but i promise it isnt. :)
heres the naughty or nice stamp set that you can purchase ~>here<~

thanks a ton for stopping by. your  sweet words always make me smile :) thank you for that too! happy crafting! xxxshelly

cardztv designer gallery

happy monday! it's my turn to showcase a project over at cardztv designer gallery. everyday we have something fresh from a different design team lady. it could be anything so be sure to pop on over and check out the awesomness.
today i have 2 quick projects for you . i hope you like them .
first is an altered bag. i made enough for everyone who will be attenting thanksgiving dinner with us . they will be filled with candies and nuts and a little note expressing why i'm thankful/grateful for them
i used die cuts for the leaves and inked them up. although i didnt do it on these leaves a nifty tip to give them veins and texture, run them through your embossing machine with a spider web folder.

i added a button ( underneath the fold i added a glue dot to keep the bag shut) i then added some floral stuff, for the berries on the branch i alcohol inked up some white pearls then hot glued them onto the branch. i tied the bunch together and glued it to the bag.

for the faux stitching i used a stamp from the "basic borders" set and the sentiment is from the "count your blessings set. ill set ya up with a link of where to pick this set plus all the others at the end of my post.

my next project is a christmas card.
i used one of my embossing folders and a snowflake diecut.i added some rhinestones. the sentiment and blue stamped snowflakes are from the stamp set "naughty or nice"

cardstv stamp sets i used

 they can be purchased ~>here<~
